The US Senate has passed a $446.8 billion package of six federal FY2010 appropriations bills.
The bill is expected to be signed by President Obama.
With the new package it would provide and increase in funding in the new year for many federal departments. Out of this money, OSHA would see $45 million. The extra funds will allow OSHA to hire over 100 full time enforcement and compliance personal.
