Have you ever wondered what OSHA does with all that information that is collected? Would you like to know how your company compares to others in your industry when it comes to work place injury?
For the first time ever OSHA has now made the work related injury and illness data collected from more than 80,000 employers from 1996-2007 available online. You can now search online in their database allowing you to view specific information on such reports.
David Michaels, assistant secretary of labor for OSHA says, “Making injury and illness information available to the public is part of OSHA’s response to the administration’s commitment to make government more transparent to the American people.”
